HOTEL DESCRIPTION
The Dundrum House, purchased by Austin & Mary Crowe in 1978 and converted into a hotel in 1981, has been substantially restored. The old Manor House is now complemented by the setting pu of a White Flag award-winning health and wellness club plus an excellent 18-hole championship golf course, following a design by Ryder Cup bearer Philip Walton. The manor is set in the Tipperary countryside, surrounded by some 40 hectares of gardens with the River Multeen running through the estate. Conceived as a residence by the Earl of Montalt, the site was used as a convent school before its most recent transformation into a hotel. The property is furnished with assorted heirlooms, featuring vintage and Victorian pieces. Guests are offered open log fires, a cheerful bar with stained glass windows, and a perfectly maintained Leisure Club, an excellent base for exploration. The surrounding countryside includes as many as 252 castles and heritage houses.
