Welcome to the Arbutus, one of the most historic and best loved hotels in Killarney. When Tim Buckley, my grandfather, took over in 1926, he envisaged a hotel that delivered world class hospitality, with a distinctively Kerry character. He achieved that goal and went on to play a very important role in the development of tourism in Killarney. We, the Buckley family, are very proud of The Arbutus and its heritage. We may have modernised some of the facilities but the welcome is as warm as its ever been. We look forward to seeing you. On entering the lobby of the Arbutus hotel, you have reached your throne in the Kingdom of Kerry. Open fires, fresh flowers and warm smiles greet you as you're guided through your home from home.
