The Polanski apartment is situated in the La Latina district of Madrid and is very close to the metro system – the La Latina station is only 2mins away and Opera only 10mins. It’s the perfect apartment from which to explore the city centre, and is just round the corner from the market and public parking.The La Latina district is constantly changing, yet still manages to preserve the true charm of Madrid. Situated very close to the Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace, and full of bars and restaurants, it’s also home to the most famous market in Madrid, the Rastro flea market, which takes place every Sunday and on holidays in and around the Cascarro square. Further points of interest in the vicinity are the Iglesia de San Francisco, the Plaza de la Paja and Las Vistillas (one of the best viewpoints in Madrid), amongst others. The apartment is ideally located for visiting the city centre on foot, as well as for experiencing the streets of Segovia, Bailén and also Toledo – from which you can access the Plaza Mayor and the Puerta del Sol. These are only 10mins from the apartment.
