Lower Austria
Lower Austria is one of the nine Austrian states. Its capital is Sankt Polten. It is also one of the youngest capitals in Austria. Some of the places that visitors should not miss is the Walchau valley, situated between Krems and Melk in the Mostviertel region. It is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site too. It is well known because of its beautiful landscape and wines. Another one is the Semmering railway.
