Tirol
Tyrol, known also as Tirol, is a state of Austria, situated in the western part of the country. It is formally divided into two parts by the state of Salzburg. The major city and the capital as well is Innsbruck. It is world famous for its prestigious university. The city also offers excellent opportunities for skiing and provides a wide variety of ski resorts, like St. Anton and Kitzbuhel. Interesting places to visitl include the towns Landeck, Kufstein, Reutte and Schwaz. Very attractive is the Gepatsch glacier and Weibsee peak, which can be seen in Kaunertal.
