Flemish Brabant
Flemish Brabant is one of the central provinces in Belgium. It's part of the geographical region of Flanders, where Dutch is the official language. Flemish Brabant borders Antwerp, Limburg, East Flanders, Hainaut, Walloon Brabant and Liege. This province completely encircles the province of Brussels. The flat terrain of the area and abundance of short rivers, canals and waterways, surrounded by idyllic parks and gardens, make it a perfect summer retreat for citizens and guests of the capital and its outskirts. The cultural variety of the province is noteworthy, as well. Its main city, Leuven, is a recognized university centre and home to some of the best-known beer brands in Belgium. Furthermore, it's one of the art cities of the region and boasts an exceptional collection of Medieval buildings.
