Dobrich
Yet another territory related to the Black Sea's coastal area, Dobrich Province is set in northeastern Bulgaria. Its administrative centre, Dobrich, is a key historical site for the region, and can be used as a transport hub for touring the northern sea coast. From here, one can easily reach Albena and Golden Sands, as well as the scenic old town of Balchik. The area was shaped after the Bulgarian War of Independence, when it received a significant number of refugees from the country's eastern part. The old town of Dobrich contains several examples of traditional Bulgarian homes of the Enlightenment era, a clock tower and a 19th Century Orthodox church. Otherwise, the remaining part of town and its adjoining places are characterised by concrete structures and town squares with towering sculptures of granite and bronze.
