Champagne-Ardenne
Champagne-Ardenne is a French region, featuring fine wines and wonderful countryside. The Champagne plain has dense forests, cut by the clear waters of lakes and streams, running through limestone rocks. A great part of the history of France has been written in Champagne. Visitors can see some architectural masterpieces here, such as the Basilica of l’Epine, the cathedral in Reims (where the kings of France were crowned), and Sedan Castle. Tourists should visit the fortified city of Langres, the 16th Century houses in Troyes, and the wooden-facade churches in the Champagne bocage, the Meuse Valley, and the Triangle Sacre du Champagne. Some of the best-developed sports here include horseback riding, golf and sailing.
