Corsica
The Corsica Region in France (Corse in French) is an island in the Mediterranean, attractive for its history, beautiful coastline and numerous outdoor adventures. The coastline, which is 1,000 km long, changes from rugged cliffs to some of the finest beaches in the Mediterranean, with half-moon bays and picturesque villages. There's a national park which protects thousands of rare plant and animal species. Tourism is a major part of Corsica's economy. The island is a popular tourist destination for French and West European tourists because of its mild climate, beautiful mountains and unforgettable coastline. The most popular sports here include climbing, horseback riding, canoeing and canyoning.
