Languedoc-Roussillon
The region of Languedoc-Roussillon in France looks like an undiscovered gem with its breathtaking coastline, wonderful local cuisine, rich Medieval history and unique architecture. Tourists can see magnificent cathedrals and chateaux (castles). Another feature of the region is its quiet Medieval villages, the possibility for outdoor activities and the world’s most popular nudist town. The wineries here are also very well-known. Visitors are attracted by the mild climate, as well. Situated near Provence, Languedoc-Roussillon is less visited by tourists, and less expensive as well.
