Baden-Württemberg
Baden-Wurttemberg, one of the 16 states of the Federal Republic of Germany, is situated in the southwestern part of the country. It's home to the world-famous Black Forest. The river Rhine forms the western and part of the southern borders. The spring of the river Danube is in Baden-Wurttemberg, near the town of Donaueschingen, in an area of the Black Forest called Furtwangen. The region is famous not only for its pine forests, but also for the cuckoo clocks made there, and for its spa resorts, where people can find clean mountain air and healing mineral waters. Visitors who enjoy walking will find endless hiking trails going through pretty villages surrounded by green pastures and welcoming farmhouses.
