Saxony
Saxony is the easternmost federal state in Germany. It's famous for its landscape, architecture and cultural traditions. Two of its biggest cities, Dresden and Leipzig, attract a lot of visitors because of their cultural heritage. Another tourist destination, especially for nature-lovers, is the Saxony Mountains with their strange sandstone cliff formations, as well as Saxon Switzerland National Park. The Erzgebirge attracts visitors with its traditions of woodcarving and folklore. Tourists shouldn't miss the Vogtland, a centre for the construction of musical instruments. The Oberlausitz is famous for its lakes and large forests.
