Şoldăneşti
Soldanesti is one of the smallest districts of Moldova in terms of both size and population. It lies in the northeastern part of the country between Transnistria to the north, Telenesti to the south, Rezina to the east and Floresti to the west. The scenery of the district is characterised by the valley of the Dniester River and the abundance of shallow valleys of its tributaries. Rolling hills and spacious fields complement the landscape in Soldanesti. The whole region possesses a distinguishedly rural image, with almost all of its territory being cultivated and used for agricultural production. Given the mild climate and idyllic spots, the district is an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy the hospitality of local people and are ready to do without modern infrastructure. Cycling tours and rural tourism are particularly popular.
