Opole province
The smallest of Polish provinces, Opole Province is located to the south, along the border with the Czech Republic. Despite its modest sizes, it has a number of attractions to offer. Visitors can go to the capital, Opole, which is a small but pretty town, hosting the most popular festival of Polish song. Paczkow, the Polish Carcassone, is known for impressive ramparts surrounding the Old Town, and Brzeg houses great Renaissance castle, often compared with Wawel. There is also a religious site of exceptional importance – St Anne Mountain.
