Thurgau
The canton of Thurgau is situated in the northeastern end of Switzerland. It borders Germany and Austria across Lake Constance, as well as on Zurich, Schaffhausen and Sankt Gallen to the west, north and south, respectively. The varied terrain with its gentle hills, wide valleys and numerous lakes and rivers makes the region perfect for all types of tourism and outdoor activities throughout the year. The coast of Lake Constance and the Rhine Valley are the two favourite holiday venues. Thurgau is a leading agricultural district in Switzerland, particularly famous for its fruit and wine production. The canton's administrative centre, Frauenfeld, is an atmospheric provincial town whose main attraction is the Medieval castle of the same name in the nearby vicinity. It's also one of the busiest transportation hubs in this part of the country.
