Antrim
The county of Antrim is one of the six counties in Northern Ireland, situated in the north-eastern end of the country. This is one of the most important areas in terms of the economy. Part of Northern Ireland's capital, Belfast, is located here. It hosts most of the political institutions, as well as numerous places for entertainment. The administrative centre, Antrim, is a mid-sized town with plenty of noteworthy historical buildings and the famous Antrim Castle. The long and indented coastline of the county ranks among the best tourist attractions in the country, with its spectacular views and desolate landscapes. Here, the undeniable pearl is the Giant's Causeway, a mythical spot included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Another outstanding natural area is the Glens of Antrim, a complex of nine valleys renowned for their wild and isolated location.
