Aberdeen
Aberdeen is the third biggest city in Scotland in terms of population and a separate council area. Lying approximately in the middle of the Scottish North Sea coast, the city is known as a long established transportation hub with its modern harbour. It is also the centre of oil industry in the country, a fact that has determined the prosperity of the region. As every middle-sized city, Aberdeen boasts vibrant cultural life with a wide range of entertainment possibilities and a couple of landmarks that are worth seeing. The latter include above all the Mercat Cross and the enchanting Old Town. Nature lovers can find a fantastic refuge outside the city among the fine sand dunes that line the coast.
