Moray
The council area of Moray is situated in the north of Scotland, between Highland and Aberdeenshire.
Typically for this part of the country, the relief is mainly mountainous with countless hills and
valleys. This, along with the exceptional diversity and beauty of nature, provides unrivalled setting
for outdoor activities. The main tourist spot is the Moray Firth, where dolphins and whales are
frequently observed. The region's administrative centre, Elgin, is a relatively small city with rich
history. It was a former cathedral city of Scotland and today the well preserved temple is the most
visited attraction in whole Moray. A couple of museums and interesting architectural sites are the
other things that are worth a visit. Lovers of genuine rustic atmosphere and Scottish hospitality can
arrange a stay in the copious guesthouses and farms around Elgin, Buckie and Forres, or in the
countryside.
