Caerphilly
Caerphilly is situated in the central part of Southern Wales amidst stunningly beautiful countryside.
Plenty of outdoor activities and attractions are available, such as golf, cycling or pleasant strolls
in intact nature. The Brecon Beacons National Park occupies part of the county and is the main
tourist attraction with its striking beauty of landscape and diversity of flora and fauna. Many art or
cultural events, as well as copious museums covering almost all aspects of life, await visitors in
the main settlements of Caerphilly – the town of the same name with its spectacular Medieval
castle, the former coal mining centre Newbridge and Ystrad Mynach, a significant educational
centre of the area with the recognised Ystrad Mynach College.
