Gwynedd
Gwynedd is one of the most remarkable regions in Wales. It is the second largest county, but at the same time ranks among the last in terms of population density. In addition, Gwynedd is famous as the area with the biggest number of Welsh speakers. As far as nature is concerned, this region is among the most attractive in Wales. With its seemingly endless coastline, featuring various forms from rugged cliffs to long stretches of sand, and idyllic countryside, which includes part of the Snowdonia National Park, Gwynedd is a favourite holiday destination for tourists from near and far. The administrative centre of the county is Caernarfon, a small, but lively town, whose leading attraction, the Medieval Caernarfon Castle, is listed by UNESCO.
