Vale of Glamorgan
Vale of Glamorgan occupies the southernmost part of Wales, surrounded by Cardiff, Bridgend and Rhondda Cynon Taff. This county is among the favourite tourist destinations in Wales with the beautiful beaches and majestic cliffs along the coast of the Bristol Channel, as well as the spectacular landscape in the inner part. The Glamorgan Heritage Coast faces westwards and boasts some extraordinary spots, like the Southerndown Beach for example. Apart from seaside holidays and recreational trips in idyllic rural environment, Vale of Glamorgan offers its guests a wide choice of heritage sites and landmarks, such as the Vale of Glamorgan Railway, the Medieval village of Cosmeston and the Barry Island Pleasure Park, to name but a few. What is more, the region is renowned as home of the unique Atlantic College, an ultra-prestigious institution, based in the magnificent St Donat's Castle.
