Serbia
The Republic of Serbia is located in central and southeastern Europe. The capital city is Belgrade. Serbia shares borders with Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Albania, Croatia, Montenegro, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Currently the country is in a union with Montenegro. The government of Montenegro plans to end this union in the near future. This decision was made in the wake of a referendum, where the majority voted in favor of its abolition.
Serbia is located in the Pannonian Plain of central Europe, and also on the territory of the Balkans. It has access to the Adriatic Sea through Montenegro. The mighty Danube runs through it, ensuring a reliable transport artery to the Black Sea and the hinterland of Europe.more
