Futuroscope in Nice

Futuroscope, the French theme park that opened in 1987, was built with the multimedia, cinematographic and audio-visual techniques of the future in mind. It features a number of 3D cinemas not to mention other shows and attractions that some happen to be unique to our planet. Futuroscope is also famous for its special kind of architecture. All the buildings on the Futuroscope campus differ greatly from each other and reflect the spirit technology of the park itself. It is located precisely seven kilometres north of the city Poitiers. From Paris, the trip takes 1 hour and 20 minutes by TGV. Just in the year 2005, nearly 1.45 million people visited the park. The park opens early in the morning and works until dusk. Generally, it is recommended a two-day visit to the park since it is impossible to see all the attractions as they have fixed times. For the purpose of a longer than one day visit, there are hotels next to Futuroscope, where you safely reserve or book a room.

There are tons of attractions that you can visit such as the Deep Sea 3D or the Mystery of the Nile. You will become witness to things beyond your imagination. In April 2007, they opened a new attraction called Mission Eclabousse where you move around geysers, mist and boiling water with your special powerboat. Due to its 20th anniversary in 2007, Futuroscope has opened numerous new and exciting attractions to see and enjoy. There are numerous other attractions that you should not miss upon visiting. In addition to the park’s attractions; there are eight restaurants and ten fast food joints. You can also visit the eight shops located at the entrance.
