Parc del Besos is a green area that plays the role of a buffer between the busy streets that go along the Besos River and the river itself. Both the river and the park that is named after it have a double meaning because the word Besos translated literally means kisses. The Parc Fluvial del Besos passes through half of the city and a great deal of Barcelona could be seen if one would but follow its sinewy path.
