Bramah Tea & Coffee Museum
This small intimate museum set inside the old warehouse in Butlers Wharf is a real must for all tea lovers. There is a permanent exhibition recounting the history of tea and coffee, which explains why these two beverages became so popular in Britain.
It also holds a small collection of items connected with traditional English 'five o'clock', including china pots, saucers, kettles and many others. The museum also covers the circumstances of the famous Boston Tea Party in 1773, when the American colonists destroyed all crates of tea bricks in Boston Harbor to protest against the taxes imposed by the United Kingdom Apart from the interesting displays, there is also a charming cafe and coffee shop offering a fine selection of freshly ground coffee and exotic teas.
